Audrey O. Cooper Residence

As most creators can testify it’s hard to sit idle without having some sort of release, so when the opportunity to do some work for my amazingly eclectic and artistic neighbor arose I jumped at the chance! Audrey O. Cooper is rehabbing an ancient row home right down the street from me and she’s bringing it back to life the way it was ment to be: no drywall, all refurbished materials, clay wall patches for the old horse-hair plaster, and nothing else. Her lot extends about 45 feet behind her house which makes for a killer backyard in this part of Philly. It’s multi-leveled and hosts a plethora of vegetation, a soon to be built compost bin, a large garden, a play area for her 4 year old daughter and a graded approach for parking. I’ve already made three different fences for her, one which consisted of de-limbed x-mas trees and bamboo stalkes peeled to be woven through the supports. Pictures are definitely to follow once I remember to bring my camera to work!
